To deal with distance-related issues, SIT Group opted for the adoption of OverIT Next-Gen FSM Platform. The solution provides remote collaboration features for in-house technicians to cooperate with their colleagues deployed in production plants in Italy, Holland, Romania, Mexico, Portugal, Tunisia, and China. The expert technician (usually working from the headquarters in Padua) gets contacted remotely by a field operator, requiring technical support for the successful execution of the activity. The field operator shows their real-time perspective through the wearable RealWear device, sharing 3D content and annotations in AR mode, making the information available to all corporate levels. SIT Group can then capitalize on the knowledge of its experienced technicians, passing on crucial skills to new-joiners and to the different divisions located worldwide.Additionally, the Group supports its customers of the “Metering” business division, throughout the different Audit stages. The customer will just need to join a collaboration session, connecting remotely while displaying the perspective of SIT Group operators in real-time, in order to complete quality checks, test activities and FATs, efficiently.
