NextGen Platform 2026 Wave Three

You ask, we deliver!

Explore the latest features and improvements designed to transform mission critical operations in linear asset industries!

Visual workflow builder

Change a business process in days, point and click

Your operation runs on more than work orders. The processes that surround them can now be designed by the people who own them, without writing code.

Lay out the steps, the people, and the rules of a process, run it on desktop and mobile, and change it when the business changes.
Much of what keeps an operation running is not a work order. Contract closures needing approvals across offices, connection requests, permits that must be cleared before work begins. Supporting one has meant a specification, a development cycle, and code to maintain.

The workflow engine was rebuilt so it no longer depends on the type of process it runs, which means the process can now be designed rather than developed. A process owner lays out the steps, assigns each to a role rather than a person, and defines where the flow branches and where it returns when an approval is rejected. Screens are generated from that same design and run on desktop and mobile, and connections to OverIT NextGen FSM and other systems are set up visually. Change a process in days rather than release cycles, with no custom code to maintain.

Appointment booking

Offer customers windows backed by real crew capacity

Booking capacity now comes from your real resources, and you can see it before you commit to it.

A computer monitor displays a resource allocation dashboard showing a weekly time schedule, task categories on the left, and an Appointment Booking filters panel open on the right.

Every appointment offered is a commitment, and for years it was made against a booking grid, a fixed number of slots set weeks in advance from an estimate. Promise more than the day can hold and the visit cannot be kept. Promise less and technicians finish early with capacity nobody can see.

Booking capacity now comes from the resources you actually have, the technicians available in that zone, on that day, with the right skills and shifts. Every slot is validated against the real plan and the travel time before it is offered, and booking is exposed through APIs so requests arrive from the channel your customers already use. For planners, the saturation monitor shows what is taken and what remains at slot level, the resource utilization view surfaces the time going unused, and a forward simulation runs frequently on the same logic as live booking.

Advanced Geoprocessing

Extend your geospatial capability without touching your GIS server

Run advanced geospatial operations as isolated services built on Esri’s own SDK.

Advanced operations like branch version cloning cannot run in a browser and are not available through standard web GIS APIs, leaving custom code inside ArcGIS Enterprise as the only route. NextGen Geo Smart Operations replaces this with a geoprocessing plugin framework: isolated Python microservices on the official ArcGIS Python SDK, registered in NextGen Geo and invoked through defined APIs. No installation on ArcGIS Server, failures stay contained, and plugins are versioned and deployed through your own pipelines, whether provided by OverIT or built by your team.

Enhanced Scheduling

Ask where the work fits and decide for yourself

Select the tasks that need placing, and let the scheduling engine work out where they best fit across the days ahead.
Dispatchers plan across multiple future days, and every new task has to find a place in a plan that is already full.

Futuristic, translucent NextGen Platform 2026 Wave Three interface with glowing orange highlights, a dashboard of menus, data rows, and a map on the right. A cursor hovers over a document icon.

Assisted Scheduling works on the tasks the dispatcher selects, identifying where they fit within the current plan and optimizing the surrounding days to accommodate them. The dispatcher reviews the proposed changes and commits them. Nothing moves without approval. The engine runs on the real plan and in simulation using the same logic, so what a dispatcher reviews is what they will get, and capacity that would otherwise sit unused between committed jobs is put to work.
