OverIT secures SBTi validation for its ambitious science-based climate targets

OverIT, a global leader in Field Service Management software (FSM), is proud to announce that its decarbonization roadmap has been formally validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

OverIT secures SBTi validation

OverIT embeds decarbonization targets into its business strategy

This achievement underscores OverIT’s steadfast commitment to taking concrete action against climate change and driving efficiency across its entire organization. The validation confirms that the company’s emissions reduction targets are grounded in the latest climate science and align with the ambitious goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C.

The SBTi’s endorsement marks a pivotal step in the company’s climate roadmap, integrating decarbonization goals to its long-term business vision.

By joining the SBTi and pledging to its framework, OverIT has established three near-term targets. Specifically, OverIT commits to:

  • reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 59% by 2034, using 2024 as the base year;
  • cutting absolute Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions from business travel by 35% within the same timeframe;
  • ensuring that 92% of its suppliers by spend, covering purchased goods and services, set their own science-based emission reduction targets by 2030.

Over the past three years, OverIT has undergone a profound ESG transformation, embedding environmental, social and governance principles into its core business processes. This journey has culminated in a structured and trasparent decarbonization plan. OverIT’s sustainability strategy empowers its clients by delivering digital solutions that reduce travel-related emissions through optimized routing, mitigate operational risks via predictive maintenance, and digitize workflows to eliminate paper-waste. With clear targets extending to 2034, OverIT is driving measurable progress across key areas for its stakeholders, while encouraging its entire ecosystem to adopt science-based climate pathways.

This trajectory is further validated by OverIT’s performance in top-tier ESG assessments, most notably its Platinum Medal from EcoVadis, one of the world’s most trusted ESG rating platforms. These results reaffirm OverIT’s ongoing focus on environmental accountability, transparency, and operational excellence.

About the Science Based Targets initiative

The Science Based Targets initiative is a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious emissions reductions targets in line with the latest climate science. The initiative is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). It works to mobilise the private sector to transition to a low-carbon economy.

Science-based targets provide a clearly-defined pathway for companies with ambitious climate goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, helping prevent the worst impacts of climate change and future-proofing business growth. Targets are considered ‘science-based’ if they are in line with what the latest climate science deems necessary to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement – limiting global warming to well-below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and pursuing efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C.
